 Zoning Board of Appeals  -- Tuesday, September 19, 2023 - 7:00 p.m.
 1.  Case #23-732
815 Laguna, Wolverine Lake - Parcel #17-22-378-014
1250.06(a) Setbacks from property lines. R1-LF requires a 35 foot lakefront setback or the average of adjoining properties. 129.5 feet is the average setback and the Applicant proposes a 116 foot setback to construct a new deck.

 2.  Case #23-733
1282.03(b) Repairs to a non-conforming building must conform to the zoning district. Applicant proposes to renovate existing deck that appears to be constructed in the road right of way. 1270.08(c)(1)B. Fence Ordinance maintains that a fence cannot be mounted on a deck in place of a railing. Applicant proposes an 8 foot tall privacy panel connected to a wood deck. 1270.08(d)(1) Fences in a required front yard cannot exceed 30 inches in height. A 5 foot 8 inch tall privacy panel is proposed.

Planning Commission  -- Thursday, September 21, 2023 - 7:00 p.m.
Draft text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. The new language regarding spas, hot tubs and similar facilities modifies the following sections:
  • Chapter 1240, General Provisions and Definitions
  • Chapter 1250, R1-A, R1-B and R1-LF Single Family Residential Districts
  • Chapter 1252, RM-1 Multi-Family Residential District
  • Chapter 1270, Site Design Regulations
  • Chapter 1280, Accessory Buildings and Structures
