Wolverine LakeSediment-Reduction

Sediment Reduction Initiatives

Wolverine Lake has a significant amount of sediment (Muck) on the bottom and in some areas its depth can be measured in feet. This sediment is of most concern in the shallow canals because over time they could become unnavigable. Because the lake is so shallow and the sediment continues to increase the Water Management Board is constantly looking for ways to reduce and control it.

In 2015 we are testing multiple products in different parts of the lake that are advertised to degrade sediment over time.
